Food Pantry – Serving those in need safely amidst COVID-19

Just a few months ago, we had a full house of volunteers from the PA Virtual Charter School helping us to distribute food to our food pantry recipients. We are grateful for their help as well as the help we get from our church, community and Valley High School volunteers.

This month we adjusted our method of distribution to adhere to COVID-19 social distancing and sanitation standards. The Westmoreland County Food Bank was kind enough to have the boxes all packed and organized for each food bank recipient. We unloaded them from the delivery truck and put them into the trunks of our recipients’ cars as they drove through our parking lot.

Our Food Panty is the first Friday of every month.
