Team Revelation wins Church School Olympics
On the last day of church school it is a tradition at St. George to hold an Olympics competition where the children progress through several stations where they are asked questions from the lessons they learned throughout the year. Christ is Risen! Agape Service & Easter Egg Hunt 2015
At the Agape Service, the Joyous Resurrection of Christ is announced and celebrated with the reading of the Resurrection Gospel in many languages. Afterwards, our church school children went on an Easter Egg Hunt.
Resurrection Service 2015
The Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the sign of universal life. The ‘true light’ is offered and a candle lit procession makes its way around the church reminding us that the Light has overthrown the darkness. The Paschal exclamation ‘Christ Is Risen’ is offered and exchanged.
Holy Week 2015 – Great and Holy Friday
During the morning service, we commemorate the removal of the Holy Body from the Cross by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. In the evening, the sacred shroud and decorated bier are carried in funeral procession around the outside of the church as we relive the burial of our Lord.
