Holy Week 2015 – “Behold the Bridegroom Comes at Midnight…”
On Sunday through Tuesday of Holy Week, each evening we observed the Service of the Bridegroom, with themes of humility, repentance, and spiritual fruits and preparedness.
2015 Palm Sunday Procession and Luncheon
After Liturgy on Palm Sunday, we processed around the church singing the beautiful hymn “Rejoice O Bethany“. Then the church school sponsored a luncheon to celebrate the feast of Christ’s Entry into Jerusalem.
Lazarus Saturday and Palm Crosses
After Matins & Liturgy on Lazarus Saturday, we made palm crosses for Palm Sunday and a couple of our teens cleaned out all the white candle holders as a service project to the church in preparation for Pascha.
IOCC Syrian Relief Dinner & Prayer Service
Parishioners from our St. George joined a pan-Orthodox community of supporters for the International Orthodox Christian Charities’ (IOCC) Syrian Relief Dinner and Prayer Service at Holy Cross Church in Mt.
