Mid-Lent: Sunday of the Holy Cross
It is hard to believe that we are already midway through Lent. After Liturgy, last Sunday, 3/18th, Father Meletios led a procession around the church in veneration of Christ’s Holy Cross. Father carried a cross, decorated with carnations, and was followed by the altar servers and church school children.
St. George Teens Make Brown Bagged Lunches for the Homeless
On Friday, March 16th, our teen SOYO volunteers and some of their friends gathered together to make brown bag lunches for the homeless in Pittsburgh. Our teens work in cooperation with a homeless food distribution program at St. Mary’s in Pittsburgh.
