A Welcome and a Farewell

We are pleased to welcome the Reverand Father Meletios (Nael) Zafaran as our new priest at St. George, along with his beautiful family.  Additionally, we wish Father Joel and his family many blessings at their reassigned parish in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and thank them for their years of service, dedication, and love to our parish.

VCS – Service to God and Neighbor

Our St. George church school was delighted to join The Presentation of Christ Greek Orthodox and St. John the Baptist Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Churches for their Vacation Church Program.  The theme was “God’s Big Backyard:  Service to God and Neighbor.”  Each day started with a prayer, bible story and skit.  The students then had some class time followed by a craft and snack, […]

Lamb Dinner at the Vendor Fair

Fellowship of St. John the Divine is preparing a lamb dinner to be served during the Vendor Fair on August 21, 2010 from 11am-4pm. Dinner costs $12.00 and includes a skewer of lamb, pita bread, rice and green beans, and dessert. Pre-orders are welcome but not necessary.  To pre-order meals, call the office at 724-335-9988.

Annual Pilgrimage and Patronal Feast Day at the Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration

Several St. George parishioners joined Fr.
